WALPURGIS - Back From Hell
w
WALPURGIS was an up and coming Rock Band from Detroit Michigan in the early 70's. This band shared the stage with many famous bands such as The WHO Joe Cocker. Jeff Beck and Jethro Tull. On the evening that they were recording their first LP which would be titled "Live At The Grande Ballroom 1971", a man approached them after their set. He was claiming to be a scout for a famous recording Studio in New York called Astro Sound Studios. He told the band that he was also Jimi Hendrix best friend. Of course, the band didn't take him too seriously! They pretty much figured that he was BS!! Al though the band did give him their phone number....just in case!!!! As it it turned out, Billy Davis was and is the "REAL DEAL". Not only is he the real deal, Billy mentored and tutored Jimi Hendrix. In 1959 at the age of 17 Jimi got his chance to meet his hero! He even got Billy to come over to his house to meet his dad. Soon after Billy bought Jimi his first electric guitar. It was a Fender Stratocaster. When Billy was drafted, he made sure that Jimi took his place in "TheMidnighters"."The Midnighters" from Detroit MI. were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

After the band went their seperate ways, Drummer and Percussionist Edward Houlehan was looking for something new. After trying out his own band he found
something that he couldn't resist! That's when he met Victor Peraino who just got off the road with the famous Arthur Brown, they would put together a new band
that would be known as Victor Peraino's KINGDOM COME. Soon after, their first LP was released titled "No Man's Land" in 1975. This exciting LP has been re released on the Black Widow Record Label and is now available on vinyl.
